Getting to SundsVall
Stockholm Arlanda is the main international airport in Sweden and from there, you can get to Sundsvall either by flying to Sundsvall-Timrå Airport or taking the high-speed train to Sundsvall Central Station.
There are limited flights twice a day from Stockholm to Sundsvall airport available through SAS airlines.
It is also quite easy to travel by direct high-speed train from Stockholm Arlanda Aiport to Sundsvall Central Station. The travel time from Stockholm is around 3 hours with the high-speed trains and the train station (Arlanda C) is located inside Stockholm Arlanda airport. When you arrive in Sundsvall, you arrive within walking distance from the conference hotel and the city center. The main train operator in Sweden is SJ https://www.sj.se/en/home.html.
Travel & Transportation
It takes around 50 minutes to fly from Stockholm to Sundsvall. The airport (Sundsvall-Timrå Airport) is however located outside of Sundsvall and you will need to take a 20 minute taxi ride to get into the city. Hence, it is recommended to pre-book taxi transfer.
The flights between Sundsvall and Stockholm Arlanda are primarily operated by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) https://www.flysas.com/en/.

There are other train options than the direct high speed train. For example, using the SJ regional trains and X-trafik http://xtrafik.se/ regional trains (about 4 hours). Another option is to take the bus Y-buss https://www.ybuss.se/ which takes about 5 hours. You can also rent a car at Stockholm Arlanda airport and drive to Sundsvall, which takes about 4 hours on the E4 highway. Finally, you can fly to Sundsvall by landing and exchanging flights in the smaller Stockholm Bromma Airport instead of Stockholm Arlanda. Sundsvall is well connected with city bus lines and there are many taxi companies. The city bus lines are operated by Din Tur http://www.dintur.se/. The city bus lines runs regularly every 10 minutes during daytime. However, you can only pay with credit or debit cards on the city buses. The city center is well adapted for walking and there are many hotels and restaurants within walking distance of the conference venue.

Visa letters will only be issued to attendees who have paid their registration fee in full or accepted authors.
COVID-19 Restrictions Lifted
As of 1 April 2022, there are no vaccination or test requirement certificates required to enter Sweden.

Invitation Letters
If you require a personal letter of invitation to attend the Conference, contact the conference manager by email at: [email protected]. In your email, provide the following information:
- Complete name
- Mailing address
- Accepted paper number (if applicable)
- Accepted paper title (if applicable)
- Any other details that your country of residence requires for your visa application
- Registration Confirmation Code
You must first register for the conference before an invitation letter is issued. Once registered, please forward your registration confirmation email and paper title with a request for the invitation letter to Jenna Yockim at [email protected].
The Conference cannot contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf so please begin your visa application process as soon as you determine that you want to attend IEEE SAS 2022. Please provide as much information as possible to avoid delays in receiving your letter.
