CALL FOR SPECIAL SESSION
The special session sensors, instrumentation and artificial intelligence technologies: Development and applications, will encompass different areas in relation to the innovative technologies and methodologies for the design and development of autonomous, intelligent and low cost, systems including embedded solutions for measurement techniques, artificial intelligence, sensitive and low cost sensors and energy efficient communication.
The evolution and integration of sensing devices is drastically increasing and as well their challenges in many application areas including industrial internet of things (IIoT), environmental applications and health monitoring. Furthermore, the need of low power consumption and low cost embedded solutions for sensing, data processing and communication is highly increasing. These advances require innovative technologies and state of the art methods for improving measurement techniques. As well, it reveals the need of new advances at the level of sensor development involving materials, sensing methods and data processing. Further, the autonomy of such systems drives to the development of interesting solutions in the field of energy harvesting and IoT solutions. These aspects combined make this special of high relevance to the current and future trends in sensor applications at research level and also at the industry level.
